Feeling a bit out in the open right now–Heidegger calls this Weltarm for animals, profound boredom for the rest of us. I need some public throne before which to scatter my merchandises, and this image of a forgotten Mississippi temple will do the trick. I am sitting in a little duplex with the air conditioner on. I am trying to pull back the fine string of meaning. Sometimes it bottoms out from things; we see the shoals and not the depths of it.
